Part of the Chesterfield Area Walking Festival – This walk is hosted by our group.
Local ghost walk featuring tales of ghostly goings-on along the historic Chesterfield Canal. Join us on the Chesterfield Canal tow path passing the Brimington plague pits and other sites of ghoulish interest, including the beckoning hand. Walking Festival Website
Meet at Tapton Lock Visitor Centre, Lockoford Lane, Chesterfield (S41 7JB) Ordnance Survey Grid Reference – SK 385 728. We will not be meeting at the town hall beforehand.

Please note you should wear suitable footwear ( preferably with ankle support), suitable clothing for the time of year ( no jeans) and take waterproofs, food and water and either additional clothing for winter walks / poor weather and sun cream and extra water for summer walks. The walk leader can refuse anyone who they do not feel is able or prepared for the walk.
